Brief Overview:
Salty Scooter Rentals was founded by Brayden, a Seacoast local and 2024 Winnacunnet graduate, who turned a high school project into a thriving scooter delivery business. What started as a summer job idea is now a unique way to explore New Hampshire’s coastline. With every ride, Brayden’s goal is simple: help people experience the Seacoast the way he always has... with freedom, fun, and adventure.
How it all started:
What started as a classroom idea in 2023 quickly turned into a real business and by the summer of 2024, scooters were rolling out across the Seacoast.
The concept was simple: offer scooter rentals without the overhead of a retail shop by delivering them directly to customers. The impact was much bigger. Salty Scooter Rentals became a way for Brayden, a lifelong Seacoast local and 2024 Winnacunnet graduate, to share the places he loves with people looking for a fun, unique way to explore.
Brayden didn’t want a typical summer job, he wanted to build something. Launching the business gave him a crash course in entrepreneurship: forming an LLC, getting an EIN, setting up business banking and insurance, building a website with online bookings, and even creating a 24/7 AI phone agent to answer common questions.
When Brayden isn’t renting scooters, he enjoys fishing along the Seacoast, learning to surf, playing basketball with friends, experimenting with AI automation, and sketching out ideas for future ventures. Entrepreneurship is in his DNA.
What sets Salty Scooter Rentals apart is the constant focus on listening to customers and improving the experience. From adding cell phone holders and helmets with built in visors, to testing rider-to-rider helmet communication systems and developing a route-guiding app, every season brings new upgrades designed to make exploring the Seacoast even better.
When asked how the first couple of years have gone, Brayden says:
“It’s had way more ups than downs, and I’ve learned a lot. My favorite part is meeting new people and sharing the Seacoast with them in a unique way.”
